10/09/09: Bid Day
October 9th was Wofford College Bid Day.  Pi Kappa Alpha took twenty freshmen.  Pi Kappa Alpha also returned 56 members.  Bid Day signaled the end of another great rush effort that included bands such as the Benjy Davis Project, Blind Vision on Bid Day, and Heart to Heart during homecoming weekend.  Congratulations to the following freshmen: James Ballard, Will Battle, Robert Blanton Jr., Thomas Brehmer, Aubrey Chinners, Austin Craine, Chance Farr, Will Ford, Josh Grimes, Wilder Hastings, West Kellett Jr., Stefan Leonhardt, Quentin Neighborgall V., Chris Olsen, Zach Princell, Creighton Quinn, James Sieverding, and Nicolaus Wegrzyn.

4/25/09: Fireman's Ball
Nu Chapter held its annual Fireman’s Ball from April 24-26th at Kingston Plantation in North Myrtle Beach.  41 Brothers and dates went to the weekend event that featured formal dinner in the Windsor Ballroom on Saturday night.  This dinner was followed by the band “Still Cruisin’”.  This event was a success despite concerns relating to the nearby fires that had been ravaging parts of Myrtle Beach since earlier in the week.

3/25/09: Annual Clothing Drive
Pi Kappa Alpha concluded their first annual clothing drive collecting donations for a local Goodwill.  Headed by Philanthropy Chair Ben Rush, the effort was a tremendous success collecting a total of 133 T-Shirts, 3 scarves, 6 pajama pants, 14 men’s gym shorts, 2 sweaters, 18 blouses, 15 men’s shorts, 7 women’s gym shorts, 17 pairs of socks, 14 dresses, 13 pairs of pants, 3 jackets, 14 polo shirts, 10 button downs, and 3 pairs of shoes for a total of 259 articles of clothing.

3/22/09: Work Day
Pi Kappa Alpha held their annual work day today.  Nu Chapter spent $500 on improvements to the house headed up by House Chair Drew Adamson.  The improvements included the installation of a new front bench, a new dartboard, a door for the outside bar, new lights in the outside bar, running water in the outside bar, and a basketball goal on the Oak tree. 

3/7/09: Bruenneroo and Wulfstock
Pi Kappa Alpha hosted the musical event Bruenneroo and Wulfstock featuring Pike Nu Chapter brothers Willy Bruenner on keyboards and bass, David Bruenner on guitar, Chris Wulf on drums, and Hunter Smith on vocals along with several cameos from other brothers.  The group played various covers along with some improvisational jam songs.  Willy and David are twins and have been playing together for over 15 years performing mainly jazz shows but also various performances for groups around campus including Kappa Delta’s Shamrock and Roll and Kappa Alpha Theta’s Pig Pickin’.

3/6/09: Pike - SAE Joint Party
Pi Kappa Alpha Combined with the brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon to host Velcro Pygmies at the SAE house.  This was the second year in a row that the two fraternities held a joint band party following the success of last year’s party featuring Toney Road.  Velcro Pygmies packed the stage with equipment and capacity was at the max for the show which was a tremendous success.
